If you’re looking for Carla Gugino, you’re on the wrong site. Not that she wouldn’t schnazz up the

place, but about the only thing we have in common is our last name. My cousin Leslie has some similar features, so their must be some shared heritage somewhere, but I don’t think anyone’s going to be Googling our branch of the family for pin-ups any time soon. If you happen to be reading this at any time Carla, hats off for taking the Gugino name to the next level! I’d love to meet you and compare genealogies sometime.

This site is owned and operated by Wade Gugino (that’s me up top, with Googe, the mascot for Googenius.com). Other Michigan based Guginos make an occasional appearance including my wife, Eva Marie (to the right: she’s  my muse and a regular blogger on Buck Sooby: Intergalactic Lactation Consultant). You’ll see Abram Siegel, web media developer extraordinaire, banging around here fairly often as well. If you need music, web video or web based training...he IS the Webinator!

As for me, I’m just a guy who loves cartoons. Strangely, I’ve mostly been a basketball player by trade. After reasonable success in DIII, I spent 15 years as a multi-hundred-dollar professional athlete in Europe (among other places). If you scroll over the photos below, they should enlarge...they pretty much sum up the progression of my basketball career. You’ll notice Udonis Haslem (15) in the third photo...he went on to get an NBA ring with the Miami Heat...I went on to get hit in the face regularly by French Haslem wannabees.

Basketball took me all over the world and showed me some amazing things. I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. If you know your NBA then you’ll appreciate this...I got to play with Tony Parker, Michael Pietrus, Boris Diaw, Thabo Sefolosha, Nicolas Batem all before they got they moved on to bigger and better things in the NBA. I particularly love old castles, ruins and cathedrals...but nothing compares to the pure beauty of creation.

I hope you like it here. Come back often. Bring friends. Learn. Laugh. Buy stuff.

When I couldn’t hack basketball anymore, I returned to America to be near family and Lake Michigan.

15 years is a long time to be away...and a long time to wait to start a second career. But that’s exactly what I started doing in 2008. This site was built to have fun integrating cartoons and graphic stories into all kinds of ideas and communication. It’s the future, trust me. Or don’t...and be one of my minions in the new world order. Your choice.
